Review on Actitud Salon

I recently became curious about online deals that promise great discounts. I spend time browsing sites like Metrodeal and Ensogo (Living Social), looking for great deals. The things I consider when availing these deals is the usefulness of the promo (whether I need the product or the service or I'll be needing it in the future), another factor is the location of the stores or merchant and the last and most important factor is the price.

I came across a deal for hair coloring service, and I was convinced to purchase because aside from its price PhP 299, the merchant is near our place. So immediately, I clicked BUY without hesitation since 299 is quite cheap for hair color. I paid the deal online, and within minutes, I got the confirmation. I printed the voucher, read it once again and then called the merchant to set an appointment.

Actitud Salon is located near Mandaluyong City Medical Center. It is a small salon, with 6 barbershop seats in it. I was greeted by the staff when I got in, and when I said that I have an appointment for a Metrodeal voucher, I was directed to their cashier / manager. The cashier asked me if I have more than one voucher, I replied that I only have one. He then told me that the promo is only good for 1 tube of hair color, and I have long hair, so it needs another tube. He said that I would have to pay additional PhP 500 for another tube and hair treatment. I hesitated for a moment but I thought that if I will not use the voucher, I will waste the 299 I paid for.

They started the service, I was asked to choose the hair color. In the middle of my session, another girl walked in, had the same voucher, was told the same line, but I noticed she had shorter hair, I also saw one staff trying to hide her sheepish grin as the cashier delivered the "catch" to voucher holders. The hair coloring process and treatment took an hour and a half, the result was great (great, because I paid plus 500 and I was really availing the regular rate as posted on their salon) I just thought that you couldn't get a nice service without having to pay additional. One thing that really annoys me is the false advertisement they put up on Metrodeal just to attract customers who are looking for cheaper (on promo) services. What if you don't have extra money? Then you end up forfeiting the voucher. It's all win-win for the merchant. The ad has no fine print in it that explains what has been explained to me at the salon, when you call them for an appointment, they will not discuss it to you over the phone until you've set the appointment and you're already there. Hope this review will help consumers out there who are planning to avail of deals online. Make sure you ask merchants first the terms of the promo.

  1. You know what..napapag halataan na wala kang pera kaya nagagawa mong maglaan ng oras para siraan ang actitud salon.Pero paulit ulit ka naman bumabalik sa salon na yan! Puro ka blog! Di mo pa kasi nararanasan makulam eh.Tandaan mo,sa twing umaalis ka jan..naiiwan yang buhok mo! Paulit ulit mong sinisiraan yan pero paulit ulit ka rin naman nag aavail ng promo nila! Ambisyosa kang babae ka! Ubod ka ng arte!

    3. Stay classy Kaye, don't let them get to you. That comment right up there completely uncovered what kind of person runs/supports the salon. :) No need to defend your case. Thanks so much for this review, it saved me the money, time, and effort in going there. You can actually even file a complaint about this in behalf of the 90 persons who unfortunately fell for this scam of a deal. Then let's see who gets the so called "bad karma". Can't believe the nerve of them trying to threaten you. And with kulam?! Wow. Anyways, thank you for this, I'm sure so you've saved so many others out there who would've fallen for this. Keep up the great work!

      I just had the worst experience ever with the staff of Actitud salon. I feel you regarding their pricing. I simply don't get why one needs to shell out additional money when he already purchased a voucher. I will also make a review about Actitud to warn other consumers about their strategy to hook people up just to get them to their salon.

  4. Then go girls! Gumawa kayo ng maraming blog at kasiraan! Pero mas marami kaming loyal customers at nagmamahal sa actitud salon! Isa lang kayo sa mga customers na ubod ng squaters at nakakapaglaan ng time para manira! Mga insecure! Karmahin nalang kayo girls! Kasi alam nyo naman na kahit nag add up kayo eh napakaganda naman ng results ng services sa inyo! Mga bullshit kayo!

Excuse me Ms.Seruh Gee,siguro may binat ka kaya kung makapagwala ka sa salon ganyan nalang.Nakakahiya po kayo..kasi kung sino pa yung mga ubod ng kuripot na gaya nyo..yun yung ubod na mag inarte at magwala.Kung ipahiya nyo mga tao akala nyo nabili nyo na kaluluwa! Nakita ko kung pano ka magsisigaw at ipahiya ang staff ng actitud.kahit maayos kang kausapin puro pag iinarte ginagawa mo! Yuck..nakakahiya ka.

    1. Wala naman po akong sinabi na hindi okay ang gawa nila. My concern is about the voucher na may catch pala kapag nag-purchase ka. Hindi naman ako nag-object nung sinabi nila na may additional payment, di ko lang nagustuhan na yung promo pala nila is just to lure customers.

  9. Lahat ng mga staff sa Actitud Salon na yan puro mga tanga.. as in tanga talaga...yung salon nila halos walang tao kaya nagmukhang tambayan nalang ng mga bading. I don't recommend this salon..as in hindi. yung mga marketing strategy nila sobrang halatang huthutan ka lang kahit wla namang maidudulot na maganda sayo... offer lang sila ng offer. Isa pa, sobrang sama ng loob ko nung umalis ako sa salon na yun, pero dahil sa mabait ako nagbigay pa rin ako ng tip dun sa tangang staff. Ang gusto ko magpakulay lang ng hair , dko alam na may kasama pala yung face paint...as in pati mukha ko kinulayan kasi ba naman nanunuod sila lahat ng TV, pati yung gumagawa sa akin instead na ako asikasuhin dun sa tv nakapako ang mata, ni hindi nga nya alam na bumalik na ako after iwash hair ko. Kaya pala nagdadalawang isip ako bumili ng voucher kc impyerno pala kakalabasan.yun lang nman.

  10. I purchased Metrodeal voucher for Actitud Salon worth Php699 which on their ad says that it's worth Php3000, which includes REBOND (Any length), cellophane and keratin treatment. When I came there, they said that the voucher is only good for a regular rebond. They did not even show the formula that they would use for regular rebond. Since I had previously colored my hair and had it straightened before, they said it's too dry and said that I had to buy either Php 1000 for L'oreal for them to use or Milk rebond for Php 500 to make sure that my hair will not be damaged. The voucher that I purchased sayd it's worth 3000 already but either the L'Oreal or the Milk Rebond is not yet included there?! And I saw their pricelist in front of their store which says Milk Rebond, any length for Php 900. I asked if I could get a refund and they said that I had to coordinate with Metrodeal, Im sure it would take that long so I just opted to pay Php 500 more for the Milk rebond. So, did I get the kind of savings from the voucher?? NOT AT ALL because I paid 700 for the voucher and 500 for the milk rebond. I would not go back to this salon again and I would not recommend them to anyone. Actually, I 'd like a refund for at least half of the price of the voucher or the whole amount because of the misleading ad. I called for an appointment at 4:30PM and was guaranteed that it would start on time but I was accommodated after 30 mins.

  14. hi Ms.Kaye Gonzales.. tama po... kahit sa approach nila over the phone hindi na maganda... my sister-in-law also had a very very bad experience in that salon and that is the reason why she gave me the voucher that she purchased ( REBOND (Any length), cellophane and keratin treatment) .. so after reading all of your reviews... I have decided no to go in there even a glance... THANKS anyways..

  15. They lemme wait for almost an hour pero isa lang naman yung customer nila. Wala naman silang ibang ginagawa nakaupo lang nagk'kwentuhan, nagtetex etc. I also purchased sa metrodeal tapos pinadagdagan pa nila kasi hindi daw kaya ng ordinary rebond yung buhok ko so nagdagdag ako ng 500 tapos yung pagrebond nila 3 hrs lang. 2 gamot isang banlaw, isang blower, isang plantsa then tapos na. Nagulat ako kasi after nun pinapili na agad ako ng kulay sa cellophane so i asked kuya "Tapos na po? Diba po pag nirerebond almost 6 hrs?" then sabi nya sakin "bakit, gusto mo 6 hrs yung rebond? ayan nanga oh tapos na" tapos cellophane na. After 2 weeks parang hindi na rebonded yung buhok ko.

  16. thank you guys for your comments, very helpful..i will make sure they will not get even a single centavo from me..kung anuman ang binayad ko, i should get the service i deserve..i only paid 299 but it was an honest to goodness hard earned money...diko lang pinulot yun...may i ask for your help as to giving me their contact #s..i could not get through their landline..got in touch with groupon, they said they will email me..i even txtd their cp# and called but to no avail..pls help me.

  18. :(I wish I have read this before purchasing two vouchers"REBOND (Any length), cellophane and keratin treatment" for me and my mom..A supposed to be birthday present may turn into a disaster:((

    I hope they 're different this time.as in the totally opposite from what I've just read..The salon is just within the area kaya ndi aq ngdlwang isip n bilhin ang deal..
